Introduction weekend:

This is a basic introduction to working with hot glass from a furnace, all wrapped into 2 days. Students will learn how to gather hot glass and work with it to form various blown forms.Subjects include making punties, marvering, correct usage of the tools used in glass. We will also cover paperweights and other solid working techniques. Emphasis is placed on teamwork and students will be working together on projects.

No experience is necessary. Students must be 13yrs or older*. This class is designed for 2 students. This class meets on a Saturday and Sunday for 6 hours each from 9-4 with a 1 hour lunch.

Cost - $425.00 per student.


 

Introduction to Glassblowing:

This is a basic introduction to working with hot glass from a furnace. Students will learn how to gather hot glass and work with it to form various blown forms.Subjects include making punties, marvering, correct usage of the tools used in glass. We will also cover paperweights and other solid working techniques. Emphasis is placed on teamwork and students will be working together on projects.

No experience is necessary. Students must be 13 yrs or older*.

 

This class is designed for 2 students. Classes are scheduled to fit student's scheduling needs and are 3 hrs each per week for 6 weeks.

Cost: $525.00

 

 


One day introduction class:
This one day class is designed for those who are curious but do not want to commit to a full session. This class is 3 hours long and runs on weeknights and on weekends. Students will be shown the basics of working hot glass, from gathering to blowing a small vessel.

Cost is $125 per student, 2 students are required to run this class.


 

* Students under 18:

Due to the nature of this medium, we require parental consent for students under 18 years of age. Students under 16 years of age should also be accompanied by a parent. Please contact us to work out arrangements for younger students on a case by case basis. Parents and students are encouraged to set up a time to come visit the studio and to meet with instructors ahead of scheduling a class.
